Bak-Kap Ngan

Cantonese lesson for banana ...
Haha... ...

Do you know what is Bak-Kap Ngan?
Bak-Kap = Pigeon

Ngan = eyes

So, Bak-Kap Ngan = Pigeon eyes

To understand the meaning of Bak-Kap Ngan, you must know where is the location of the pigeon eyes.

It is located on top of its head:
That's mean, it clever to look down on people.
It only want to look up.

When a person clever to look down on people, and only look up to rich and famous people, we call them Bak-Kap Ngan.

When I was small, I didn't want to believe that people can be so materialistic and mean.
I was so naive.

I had a student long long time ago, she was only 7 years old.
But she knows how to say: yer, teacher, your car so small only. My daddy's car is much bigger than yours!

Human nature is such?

Shall we improve ourselves by being more humble and live with a better character each day?

Haha. I like the cantonese lesson. This type of people is all around the world. Sometimes many people will look down on teachers and I don't know why. It's not easy to become a teacher also, right? We should respect teacher as they can face so many faces in a day.

I think this is all depends on how their parents educate them, which I think is very important. Lots of parents put all the responsibility to teacher, but it isn't easy for teacher to change something that has been there in the kid's mind for years. Tough job I suppose.

Fully agreed with KY. It's a matter of upbringing. Sadly, the idea of love by parents nowadays is to spare the rod and spoil the child as a tool to make up for their lil' time spent with the kids.
